The Illinois Scottish Rite fund has been designed to meet the needs of the nine
individual Scottish Rite Valleys. Each Valley has established a Scholarship Committee,
whose primary responsibility is to evaluate and recommend students within its
jurisdiction for scholarships to the Illinois Scottish Rite Scholarship Committee
for their final selection.
The Illinois Scottish Rite Scholarship Fund is broken down into the General
Scholarship Fund, the Louis L. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund the
Robert B. Perkins Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Grand Lodge of Illinois Scholarship
The General Scholarship Fund Awards Scholarships in nursing or the allied
health fields, such as x-ray, laboratory or the pre-medical fields.

The Lewis L. Williams Memorial Fund Scholarship requires a Masonic relationship and
there is no restriction on course study, but it is restricted to students attending
Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington.

The Grand Lodge Scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee at its June meeting and will be awarded without regard to race, gender, religion, age or handicap. The committee, however, will consider the Masonic relationship and financial need of an applicant and his/her family. The father, grandfather, brother, or uncle of an applicant must be a Master Mason in good standing or, if deceased, have been a Master Mason in good standing at the time of death.

The total amount of scholarships awarded each year is determined by income from
invested funds and these funds are received from our members and others who wish
to contribute to this worthy cause.
